El manejo de las reservas internacionales

Abstract

Antes de estudiar el tema de la administración de las reservas internacionales, es necesario analizar primero el de la concentración de las mismas en el Banco de la República, desde su creación, lo mismo que los instrumentos utilizados por el derecho colombiano para permitirla, a saber: Las atribuciones otorgadas al banco central para operar en un mercado libre y en vigencia del patrón oro; el control de cambios internacionales y de las operaciones de comercio exterior para obtener la absoluta concentración de las reservas; la participación del Banco en la adopción de las políticas monetarias y cambiarias y su papel como ejecutor de éstas y como administrador de otros entes ejecutores.
