Abstract

Angesichts des fortschreitenden Klimawandels ist eine Abkehr von der Nutzung fossiler Brennstoffe unausweichlich. Dies spiegelt sich nicht zuletzt auch in der politischen Entscheidung zum Ausstieg aus der Kohleverstromung in Deutschland wider, welche neben ökologischen Auswirkungen auch soziale und wirtschaftliche Effekte auf die Gesellschaft im Rahmen des Strukturwandels hat. Begleitet wird dieser Wandel von einer politischen und wirtschaftlichen Debatte, welche bisher in der Literatur noch nicht systematisch analysiert wurde. Folglich ist das erste Ziel der vorliegenden Masterarbeit die Analyse des politischen und wirtschaftlichen Diskurses relevanter Akteure zum deutschen Kohleausstieg. Die Analyse bezieht sich auf zwei ausgewählte Braunkohlereviere: das Rheinische und Lausitzer Revier. Das zweite Ziel der Masterthesis ist es zwei wirtschaftlich vermutlich stark vom Kohleausstieg betroffene Akteure der Region zu analysieren: Die Energieversorger RWE (Rheinisches Revier) sowie LEAG (Lausitzer Revier). Hierfür wurde untersucht, welche potenziellen Auswirkungen die Unternehmensstruktur und -strategie der Energieversorger der Reviere auf den Diskurs und folglich den Strukturwandel haben. [...]
