Ausbildungslandschaft, Kompetenzprofil und Karriereweg von WirtschaftsingenieurInnen: Studie 2014

Abstract

Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen-Studienrichtungen/-gänge erfreuen sich ungebrochener Beliebtheit und auch die Nachfrage am Arbeitsmarkt nach AbsolventInnen ist nach wie vor größer als das Angebot. Wie schon in der Wirtschaftsingenieurstudie 2010 erhoben, zeigen auch die Ergebnisse der aktuellen Erhebung, dass sich diese Situation voraussichtlich auch in den nächsten Jahren fortsetzen wird. Auch das Tempo der Veränderung der Ausbildungslandschaft ist beeindruckend. So wurde in den letzten Jahren das Angebot an Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen-Studienrichtungen/-gängen an österreichischen Universitäten und - in noch stärkerem Ausmaß - Fachhochschulen ausgebaut. So erfreulich das auf der Seite des Österreichischen Verbands der Wirtschaftsingenieure (WING) auch ist, ergeben sich auf der Seite der Studieninteressierten und Studierenden, der AbsolventInnen und der PersonalmanagerInnen Probleme mit der notwendigen Transparenz im Hinblick auf das Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen-Studienangebot und dessen Inhalte. Als Maßnahme und auch zum Schutz der Marke 'Wirtschaftsingenieur' vor missbräuchlicher Verwendung wurde vom WING in Absprache mit den Schwesterverbänden - dem Verband Deutscher Wirtschaftsingenieure (VWI) und der Vereinigung Wirtschaftsingenieure Schweiz (VWI CH) - der Markenschutz beantragt und den beiden Landesverbänden zur Verfügung gestellt ...
