Analysen zum Leistungsgeschehen der Krankenhäuser und zur Ausgleichspauschale in der Corona-Krise: Ergebnisse für den Zeitraum Januar bis Mai 2021

Abstract

Dieser Bericht untersucht die Folgen der Covid-19-Pandemie auf das Leistungsgeschehen der Krankenhäuser in Deutschland für den Zeitraum vom 01. Januar 2020 bis zum 31.Mai 2021. Er untersucht außerdem, ob die seit dem 16. März 2020 geltenden Ausgleichszahlungen die Erlösminderungen der Krankenhäuser aufgrund des Rückgangs der Leistungsmenge ausgleichen konnten. Nicht untersucht wird, ob und wie sich die wirtschaftliche Lage der Krankenhäuser insgesamt verändert hat. Zuvor wurden bereits in drei Berichten die Zeiträume bis einschließlich 31. Mai 2020, bis zum 30. September bzw. bis zum 31. Dezember 2020 ausgewertet. In dem vorliegenden vierten Bericht stellen wir Analysen für den Zeitraum vom 01. Januar bis zum 31. Mai des Jahres 2021 vor. Die Analysen basieren auf rankenhausindividuellen Struktur- und Leistungsdaten des Instituts für das Entgeltsystem im Krankenhaus (InEK) für die vollen Jahre 2019 bis 2020 und für den Zeitraum bis Mai jeweils für die Jahre 2019 bis 2021. Da die Gesamtjahresdaten verlässlicher als die unterjährigen Daten sind, kann es auch rückwirkend zu Abweichungen zu den Ergebnissen aus den ersten drei Berichten kommen.
