Aufbruch und Reform von oben: Ostdeutsche Universitäten im Transformationsprozess

Abstract

In diesem Buch wird der Reformprozeß an ostdeutschen Universitäten in der Zeit zwischen 1989 und Anfang 1993 analysiert. Das zentrale Interesse gilt dem Mit- und Gegeneinander endogener und exogener Reformen. In fünf Kapiteln werden die Vorgänge an einzelnen Universitäten (HU Berlin, Halle, Jena, Leipzig, Rostock) rekonstruiert, fünf weitere sind den wichtigsten externen Akteuren in diesem Reformprozeß gewidmet: Wissenschaftsrat, Länderregierungen, Rektorenkonferenz, Kultusministerkonferenz und Hochschulstrukturkommissionen. Die meisten Autoren waren in verantwortlicher Position aktiv an den geschilderten Vorgängen beteiligt. Am Ende versucht die Herausgeberin, diese einzelnen Bausteine zu einem Gesamtbild des komplexen Reformprozesses zusammenzusetzten.
