Wissensintensive Berufe: empirische Forschungsarbeit (Vorabdruck)

Abstract

Die Wissensintensität wird zunehmend als wichtiger Bestandteil der beruflichen Arbeit gesehen. Es ist davon auszugehen, dass Wissenserzeugung und der kompetente Umgang mit Wissen (und immer größeren Informationsmengen) immer wichtiger werden. Bislang besteht aber noch kein ausgereiftes Konzept dazu, die Wissensintensität eines Berufes zu bestimmen. Während teilweise auf Qualifikationsstrukturen in Branchen abgezielt wird (vgl. die wissensintensiven Branchen (Legler und Frietsch 2006)), wird hier der Erwerbsberuf in den Fokus genommen. Erwerbstätige geben Einschätzungen darüber, wie sie die Anforderungen an Wissensarbeit in dem von ihnen ausgeübten Beruf sehen. So entsteht ein differenziertes Bild der beruflichen Realität, mit dessen Hilfe Innovationspotenziale sichtbar gemacht werden können. In diesem Text werden verschiedene Herangehensweisen an die Bestimmung wissensintensiver Berufe vorgestellt. Anteile hoher Wissensintensität für alle Berufsordnungen der Klassifizierung der Berufe von 1992 werden berichtet sowie verschiedene Listen wissensintensiver Berufe, die je unterschiedlichen Forschungsfragen dienen können.
