Abstract

The handbook is published annually and contains revised, updated and expanded annual and monthly statistics. Time series and related tables are extracted from the Annual, Monthly and Industrial Databases as well as the Database on Foreign Direct Investment maintained and regularly updated by wiiw. NEW features in the 2009 edition 18 countries covered in detail, more colour graphs added Structural indicators available also for the Baltic States, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina Key indicators compiled for all countries allow for cross-country comparisons and comparisons with the EU at a glance Longer time series accessible in MS Excel format permit a wide range of individual analyses and compilations with most data available from 1990 CD-ROM - MS Excel Tables permit a wide range of individual analyses and compilations with time series covering the whole period 1990-2008. NEW FEATURE The comprehensive chapter II. Structural indicators is provided in two ways a) 'indicators by country' identical to those in the hardcopy and PDF versions b) 'countries by indicator' These two presentations allow a more flexible use for own purposes.
