Abgabenleistung nach Einkommensarten

Abstract

Die Studie untersucht den Beitrag der unterschiedlichen Einkommensarten, insbesondere der Einkommen aus unselbständiger Beschäftigung zur Finanzierung der öffentlichen Haushalte im Jahr 2019. Neben dem typischerweise dargestellten Aufkommen aus direkten Abgaben (Sozialbeiträge und Einkommensteuer) wird die Betrachtung um indirekte Abgaben (Mehrwertsteuer und Verbrauchsteuern) ergänzt und gibt damit ein vollständigeres Bild des jeweiligen Beitrags zum Abgabenaufkommen. Die Ergebnisse verdeutlichen die zentrale Bedeutung der Unselbständigeneinkommen für die Finanzierung der öffentlichen Haushalte. Sie leisten nicht nur den größten, sondern auch einen überproportionalen Anteil am Abgabenaufkommen.
