Abstract

Klimawandel und Ressourcenbeschränkungen erfordern eine umfassende Restrukturierung der bestehenden Energiesysteme: Einerseits gilt es, die Energieeffizienz zu erhöhen; andererseits soll der Einsatz erneuerbarer Energieträger forciert werden. Dabei muss die Rolle von Energiedienstleistungen – und nicht von Energieflüssen – im Vordergrund stehen, da nicht die Nachfrage nach Energie, sondern die Energiedienstleistungen wohlstandsrelevant sind. Die vorliegende Studie schätzt die möglichen ökonomischen Effekte von unterschiedlichen Maßnahmenpaketen zur Erhöhung der Energieeffizienz und des Anteils erneuerbarer Energieträger in den österreichischen Bundesländern mit Hilfe von Modellsimulationen, wobei der Fokus auf den Bereichen Mobilität, Wohngebäude und Bereitstellung von Elektrizität und Fernwärme liegt. Die Simulationen basieren auf illustrativen Beispielen, die auf Basis von ausgewählten Klima- und Energiemodellregionen entwickelt wurden.
