Gesamtwirtschaftliche Effekte einer Mehrwertsteuerrückvergütung im Wohnbau

Abstract

Eine Halbierung des Mehrwertsteuersatzes im privaten Wohnungsbau (befristet auf drei Jahre) und die dann mögliche Eindämmung der Schwarzarbeit um etwa ein Drittel können die Bauwirtschaft in Zeiten schwacher Nachfrage stimulieren: Mit einem Aufkommen des Staates von gut 5 Mrd. S pro Jahr könnte unter den hier getroffenen Annahmen für rund 11.000 Arbeitskräfte Beschäftigung geschaffen und die Zahl der Arbeitslosen um etwa 7.000 verringert werden.
