Abstract

Anfang 2015 war die Konjunktur in Österreich weiterhin verhalten, ein mäßiger Aufschwung kann erst 2016 erwartet werden. Die Arbeitslosigkeit stieg deutlich, obwohl in allen Bundesländern die Zahl der Beschäftigungsverhältnisse zunahm. Die Entwicklung in den Bereichen Bauwirtschaft, Handel und Tourismus verlief regional unterschiedlich: Anders als in den östlichen und südlichen Bundesländern nahm die abgesetzte Produktion im Bauwesen im Westen ab, während sich die Einzelhandelsumsätze in den westlichen Bundesländern etwas überdurchschnittlich entwickelten. Die Zahl der Nächtigungen stieg in der Wintersaison 2014/15 in städtischen Destinationen am kräftigsten.
