Abstract

Die WIFO-Konjunkturprognose vom Oktober 2024 zeigt eine weiterhin schwierige wirtschaftliche Lage in Österreich. Nachdem das BIP 2023 schrumpfte, wird für 2024 ein weiterer Rückgang von 0,6% erwartet, bevor 2025 eine moderate Erholung einsetzen wird. Schwächen zeigen sich vor allem im verarbeitenden Gewerbe, im Bauwesen und im Handel, während der Arbeitsmarkt stabil bleibt. Regional gibt es deutliche Unterschiede: Wien und Salzburg verzeichnen vergleichsweise robuste Entwicklungen der Bruttowertschöpfung im 1. Halbjahr 2024, während Oberösterreich und Kärnten besonders von der Konjunkturschwäche betroffen sind.
