Abstract

Der Schrumpfungsprozess der österreichischen Wirtschaft verlangsamt sich, eine anhaltende Erholung ist jedoch noch nicht in Sicht. Der Süden Österreichs war im I. Quartal 2009 von der Krise am stärksten betroffen, während sich die Wirtschaft in Wien relativ gut entwickelte. Insgesamt verringerte sich die Sachgüterproduktion weiter; sie entwickelte sich in den Industriebundesländern, mit Ausnahme der Steiermark, überdurchschnittlich. Im Tourismus schnitten die eher auf Inlandsreisende spezialisierten Bundesländer Steiermark und Burgenland gut ab.
