Crecimiento económico e innovación en servicios: implicaciones para Europa

Abstract

Desde que la globalización se ha convertido en uno de los aspectos de mayor relevancia dentro del estudio de las evoluciones de la economía internacional, la importancia dada al fenómeno de la integración económica se ha incrementado progresivamente. Este fenómeno de globalización está alimentado de un lado por las fuerzas de mercado y de otro recibe el empuje de las políticas económicas. Entre ellas un caso relevante es el del mercado único europeo. En este trabajo se intenta presentar una primera aproximación al estudio de las relaciones que ocurren entre la integración y el crecimiento económico tomando como referencia el sector servicios en Europa. En la primera parte del trabajo se presenta una revisión de la bibliografía sobre el tema, en la secunda se lleva a cabo un análisis sobre el nivel de integración del sector servicios en Europa en cuanto en la tercera parte se propone un análisis explorativo sobre las relaciones entre integración y crecimiento.
