La investigación económica y social en el Perú. Balance 1999-2003 y prioridades para el futuro

Abstract

Esta publicación sistematiza más de 600 estudios sobre la realidad económica y social del Perú, realizados durante 1999-2003, revisando la literatura desarrollada en torno a nueve temas: macroeconomía y crecimiento; relaciones económicas internacionales; empleo; pobreza y distribución del ingreso; educación; salud; descentralización; regulación, privatización y concesiones; y medio ambiente y recursos naturales. A partir del balance preparado para cada materia, los autores plantean nuevas interrogantes y perspectivas de investigación que buscan motivar a la comunidad académica de las ciencias sociales y, a la vez, orientar los esfuerzos de análisis del Consorcio de Investigación Económica y Social (CIES). Así, al publicar este libro, el CIES persigue un doble objetivo: promover nuevos estudios que sean útiles para el diseño de políticas y fomentar una cultura de decisiones públicas basadas en el conocimiento.
