Abstract

Javier Iguíñiz aborda un tema muy original: el encuentro entre las perspectivas de dos grandes autores de disciplinas muy distintas, el economista y Premio Nobel originario de la India Amartya Sen, y el teólogo peruano Gustavo Gutiérrez. El acento puesto, por una parte, en la libertad como clave para un desarrollo humano que sea respetuoso de la vida plena de las personas, por otra en la orientación ética y la exigencia de pasar a la acción, y sobre todo en la visión del pobre como fuente de compromiso social, son preocupaciones que alientan la reflexión de ambos pensadores a lo largo de sus obras. Con una selección de citas claves de ambos autores, Javier Iguíñiz analiza y muestra la riqueza de los puntos de contacto entre ellos.
