Abstract

How land was registered in Germany, France and England between 1652 and the beginning of 1900 is dealt with by Vincent Nossek in this comparative study. By highlighting and contextualizing the different concepts developed to contend with the legal complexities of land registry, both the common ground shared and the variances that remain in each country's law of land registration are revealed.
