Abstract

El libro se organiza en tres partes y catorce capítulos. La primera parte del libro, “Economía financiera”, incluye cinco capítulos (capítulos 1-5). Estos capítulos incluyen trabajos de investigación autocontenidos e independientes entre sí. Los mismos son los siguientes: 1) Modelado de las colas de la distribución de rendimientos del petróleo: Un análisis empírico fuera de la muestra; 2) Vinculación entre las características operativas de la banca comercial en México y las decisiones de crédito; 3) La prima por riesgo inflacionario en México: Métodos alternativos; 4) Cointegración fraccionaria entre el tipo de cambio, la Bolsa Mexicana de Valores y la TIEE; y 5) El efecto del precio del petróleo en los rendimientos y volatilidad de los mercados accionarios latinoamericanos. Como puede advertirse, la mayoría de los capítulos de la primera parte se vinculan a la temática de administración de riesgos financieros.
