Abstract

Este libro de FIEL busca contribuir al análisis de los temas de economía urbana en nuestro país. La región metropolitana de Buenos Aires es una de las veinte megalópolis que existen en el mundo y, con el Gran Rosario y el Gran Córdoba, integran el grupo de las 408 metrópolis que albergan a casi el 20% de la población mundial. En el estudio, se abordan los problemas del medioambiente, el crimen, la pobreza y la infraestructura en nuestras grandes ciudades. Para contribuir a su solución se desarrolla una discusión sobre la organización del gobierno en los grandes centros urbanos del mundo comparada con el desarrollo de nuestros gobiernos locales.
