Abstract

A partir de un diagnóstico cabal de los problemas de acceso a la justicia y su funcionamiento en América Latina, esta publicación presenta un testimonio contundente de lo realizado en la última década y de lo que aún resta por hacer en esta materia en la región. En Justicia: un vínculo pendiente entre Estado, ciudadanía y desarrollo se aborda tanto la cuestión de la reforma del orden jurídico, con vistas a que sea más moderno y previsible, como la del sistema de justicia, a fin de fortalecerlo y llevarlo hacia una mayor independencia, eficiencia y equidad. Teniendo en cuenta que la justicia opera como base del sistema democrático y garantía del cumplimiento de las reglas del mercado, este libro es un primer paso para pensar la manera de lograr un sistema eficiente en el marco de sociedades más justas y equitativas.
