Abstract

Las fluctuaciones y perturbaciones de las economías más avanzadas siempre se han transmitido de diversas maneras hacia los países en desarrollo. La creciente integración comercial y financiera ha acelerado cada vez más la transmisión de esas oscilaciones. Visualizar con claridad esos procesos de transmisión, en especial en estos tiempos de creciente complejidad, incertidumbre y vulnerabilidad, es esencial para anticipar los acontecimientos. Y esa anticipación es crucial para mejorar la toma de decisiones de los empresarios y los formuladores de política. Esta valiosa colección de artículos, preparada por un equipo de docentes investigadores de la UPB, ilustra de manera diáfana la cadena de transmisión de los shocks que, originándose en el primer mundo, repercuten inevitablemente en los países en desarrollo.
