Abstract

El libro actualiza y completa la información estadística sobre el stock de capital en España y su distribución territorial, elaborada desde hace más de una década por un equipo de investigadores del Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Económicas (Ivie) y de la Universidad de Valencia, en colaboración con la Fundación BBVA. En esta obra se ofrecen las series de inversión y stock de capital para el periodo 1964-2002 en los datos agregados y hasta el año 2000 para las series desagregadas por provincias y comunidades autónomas. Como en ediciones anteriores, se distingue entre capital público y privado, considerando las funciones de gasto en el primero y los sectores productivos en el segundo. El CD-ROM que acompaña al libro contiene la edición electrónica completa de las series de inversión y stock de capital, junto con herramientas para facilitar la búsqueda de información. La riqueza del banco de datos generado desde 1993 hace de él un instrumento de gran valor para los investigadores y para todos cuantos se interesan por el proceso de acumulación de capital en un dilatado periodo de transformación socioeconómica de España.
