Conservación preventiva en museos: evaluación de riesgos

Abstract

La conservación preventiva comprende una serie de estrategias y medidas de orden técnico, político y administrativo que, orientadas al manejo del entorno en el cual se hallan inmersos los objetos, contribuyen a retardar o prevenir el deterioro de éstos, preservando su integridad y estabilidad. De esta manera, la conservación preventiva pretende reducir el nivel de riesgo de deterioro o pérdida al cual están expuestos los objetos; por tal razón, exige la integración de los ámbitos técnicos e institucionales que se vinculan de manera directa con el conjunto de componentes, funciones y actividades que identifican a cualquier tipo de entidad cultural.
