Abstract

Este texto recoge el trabajo del autor sobre ciclos, burbujas y fallas corporativas, a partir del cual plantea un enfoque novedoso para el estudio de la naturaleza y causa de las crisis financieras. Resalta el autor la importancia que tiene para la economía el conocer el ciclo de las crisis financieras, con sus fases de precrisis, crisis y poscrisis, y la necesidad de evitar la presencia de zonas grises nacidas de las actuaciones del Estado en medio de los avatares de estos episodios. Como una de sus conclusiones, el autor propone el establecimiento de un escenario de operaciones en el que se desarrolle un “programa de ajuste cíclico” que permita, bajo unas pautas legales específicas y en un protocolo contracíclico controlado normativamente, contener y morigerar los efectos procíclicos de las intervenciones que debe desplegar la autoridad económica y de supervisión financiera, justamente en la fase más álgida de las crisis
