La protección del patrimonio litoral

Abstract

Con el fin de conseguir seguridad jurídica y mayores cotas de crecimiento económico ordenado y bienestar social, el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación de España da comienzo con este trabajo a una serie que tiene como misión desarrollar el proyecto de investigación “La protección de los bienes públicos: bases jurídicas y geográficas para el deslinde del litoral bajo la perspectiva de la gestión integrada”. En dicho proyecto interviene un grupo de profesores y profesionales de España, México, Francia y Colombia, pertenecientes, asimismo, a diversas disciplinas, como juristas, geógrafos, ingenieros y arquitectos. Ellos difundirán los resultados de sus investigaciones mediante publicaciones, como en el presente escrito que es su primer trabajo, fruto de conferencias dictadas por los autores de este libro en el I Congreso Internacional de Protección del Patrimonio Litoral y Desarrollo Económico, celebrado en la Universidad de Almería en noviembre de 2008. La hipótesis inicial plantea la necesidad de entender el espacio litoral, por lo menos en sus dos dimensiones más elementales: la longitudinal y la transversal, y en varias disciplinas científicas que permitan incorporar al ordenamiento jurídico un nuevo paradigma producto de la confluencia de todos los saberes que pueden ayudar al hombre en la sociedad.
