Abstract

En 1988, la primera edición de este libro anticipó la concepción que adoptarían el Constituyente y el Legislador colombianos, pocos años después para fundamentar y desarrollar el nuevo Sistema de Seguridad Social integral contenido en la Ley 100 de 1993. En sus posteriores ediciones, se actualizó el contenido, presentando con más detalle los antecedentes y alcances de las reformas implicadas en esta ley, sus posteriores modificaciones. La cuarta edición de este título constituye un nuevo texto en el que el autor lo revisa y amplía, e incluye las disposiciones más recientes en materia de seguridad y protección social. En esta edición, el autor conserva las virtudes de las anteriores, llena vacíos conceptuales y presenta de manera clara y esquemática las distintas instituciones de la seguridad social y su evolución, permitiendo a lectores expertos y entusiastas tener una visión panorámica y una comprensión integral de la seguridad social en Colombia
