Hacia una regulación de riesgo socioambiental y finanzas verdes para entidades financieras en Colombia

Abstract

Dado el efecto multiplicador que ejerce sobre los demás sectores de la economía, la banca cumple un papel fundamental en materia ambiental: tiene el poder de orientar el crédito hacia industrias no contaminantes generadoras de energías limpias. Sin embargo, para que esto suceda es indispensable una regulación bancaria que impulse la transición hacia una economía en la que tenga que ver poco el carbono. El análisis elaborado a lo largo de esta monografía plantea la necesidad de impulsar, mediante propuestas regulatorias, el cambio que requiere el Pals para enfrentar los efectos de la crisis climática Esta propuesta no es ajena a los movimientos que se están dando en el mundo en dicho sentido, y se apoya en metodologías internacionales ya implementadas. La regulación permite al sector financiero optar por un papel orientador del futuro de la economía. apalancando el desarrollo sostenible del país, en línea con los compromisos adquiridos bajo el Acuerdo de París. Este estudio es el resultado de la investigación desarrollada por la autora en la maestría en Derecho del Estado con énfasis en Derecho de Recursos Naturales, de la Universidad Externado de Colombia.
