Economie circulaire au Québec: opportunites et impacts economiques

Abstract

L'impact negatif de l'activite humaine sur l'environnement fait consensus et la communaute internationale a adopte diverses mesures, tel l'Accord de Paris, pour en minimiser les consequences a moyen et a long terme. En Europe et en Asie notamment, le concept d'economie circulaire (EC) a pris de plus en plus d'ampleur face a cet enjeu. Tout en appelant a une transformation des modeles d'affaires, l'EC vise une efficacite accrue dans l'utilisation des ressources et la reduction des matieres residuelles. Le present rapport fait une recension de la documentation sur le sujet, et identifie des freins et des leviers pouvant agir sur la transition vers une economie circularisee, dont il met egalement en evidence certaines retombees potentielles. Pour le Quebec, quelques secteurs a fort potentiel de circularisation sont mis en evidence, ainsi que cinq etudes de cas d'organisations qui offrent deja des produits et services s'inscrivant dans une economie circulaire.
