Abstract

Na Ibero-América, o emprego juvenil representa um desafio crucial que requer atenção imediata e estratégias eficazes. Este documento, elaborado pela Comissão Econômica para a América Latina e o Caribe (CEPAL) como parte do processo preparatório da XXIX Cúpula Ibero-Americana das e dos Chefes de Estado e de Governo, que terá lugar nos dias 14 e 15 de novembro de 2024 em Cuenca (Equador), visa oferecer uma análise integral da situação do emprego juvenil na região. São destacadas as principais tendências, obstáculos e oportunidades enfrentados pelos jovens no mercado de trabalho. O relatório dá especial ênfase à inclusão laboral e ao desenvolvimento sustentável, sublinhando a ligação entre a criação de empregos dignos e o cumprimento dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS).
