Abstract

En Iberoamérica el empleo juvenil representa un desafío crucial que requiere atención inmediata y estrategias efectivas. Este documento, elaborado por la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) como parte del proceso de preparación de la XXIX Cumbre Iberoamericana de Jefas y Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno, que se celebrará los días 14 y 15 de noviembre de 2024 en Cuenca (Ecuador), tiene como objetivo ofrecer un análisis exhaustivo de la situación del empleo juvenil en la región. Se destacan las principales tendencias, obstáculos y oportunidades que enfrentan los jóvenes en el mercado laboral. El informe pone especial énfasis en la inclusión laboral y el desarrollo sostenible, subrayando el vínculo entre la creación de empleos decentes y el cumplimiento de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS).
