Abstract

This issue of the Economic and Social Panorama of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States is a contribution by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) to the second Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), to be held in Havana in January 2014. This document is based on excerpts from some of the annual agships published by the Commission in 2013: Statistical Yearbook for Latin America and the Caribbean 2012 (LC/G.2554-P); Demographic Observatory 2012 (LC/G.2569-P); Economic Survey of Latin America and the Caribbean 2013 (LC/G.2574-P); “Preliminary Overview of the Economies of Latin America and the Caribbean 2013.
