La crisis financiera internacional y sus repercusiones en América Latina y el Caribe

Abstract

Con ocasión del trigésimo cuarto período de sesiones de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL);, (San Salvador, agosto de 2012);, la Comisión consideró oportuno poner a disposición de los gobiernos y otros actores económicos del ámbito regional este breve informe sobre el complejo escenario internacional actual y sus posibles consecuencias para la región. El documento se divide en dos partes. En la primera se analizan la presente coyuntura internacional y las perspectivas para la economía mundial, con énfasis en los temas más estructurales y de mediano plazo, mientras que en la segunda se evalúa el posible impacto de corto plazo sobre la región, así como el espacio disponible para implementar políticas contracíclicas.
