Abstract

PrésentationCe document a été élaboré par le Centre latino-américain et des Caraïbes de démographie (CELADE) - Division de la population de la CEPALC, conformément à la résolution 616 (XXXI) adoptée en 2006 par la CEPALC, par laquelle celui-ci a été chargé de préparer la documentation de fond de la deuxième Conférence régionale intergouvernementale sur le vieillissement (Brasilia, Brésil, 4-6 décembre 2007). Son objectif est de présenter et d'analyser l'information disponible sur le processus de vieillissement démographique, la situation de la population âgée et les progrès accomplis par les pays dans l'application de la Stratégie régionale d'exécution pour l'Amérique latine du Plan d'action international de Madrid sur le vieillissement.
