Abstract

En esta evaluación se estiman los efectos e impactos de la temporada de lluvias de 2022, haciendo énfasis en la tormenta tropical Julia. Las precipitaciones ocurridas desde abril contribuyeron a exacerbar las condiciones de vulnerabilidad antes de la llegada de la tormenta. En comparación con el último desastre relevante acontecido en Honduras, el causado por la tormenta tropical Eta y el huracán Iota en noviembre de 2020, el de este año ha sido un fenómeno de mayor duración, territorialmente más extenso, pero de menor intensidad con base en los impactos sufridos en los departamentos del país.
