Abstract

Revisa las principales modificaciones introducidas durante 1982 en las paridades y sistemas cambiarios de los países de América Latina, y los rasgos básicos de los procesos de renogociación de la deuda externa. Discute la política cambiaria implementada por los países de la región, destacando la existencia de fuertes devaluaciones y los cambios ocurridos en los sistemas cambiarios. Describe los mecanismos generales de reprogramación de la deuda, las condiciones de renegociación, y el papel del FMI en este proceso.
