Abstract

Este documento es el resultado de una iniciativa de la CEPAL y la OIT destinada a ampliar el debate y fortalecer el marco analítico para el diseño de una estrategia de desarrollo inclusivo en los países de la región. El objetivo final es apoyar la formulación de políticas que impulsen la convergencia productiva y el crecimiento económico para la igualdad y la justicia social. La orientación prioritaria de la estrategia presentada consiste en lograr una mayor inserción productiva y social en la propia estructura y funcionamiento del sistema socioeconómico, para asegurar una mejor distribución primaria del ingreso en el momento mismo de su gestación en el proceso productivo. Se trata de adoptar una estrategia renovada, con un crecimiento económico basado en la atenuación de la heterogeneidad estructural y la densificación del sistema productivo, cuyo dinamismo tenga efectos positivos sobre el empleo y la distribución del ingreso, además de garantizar la inclusión social. Es en este contexto que se ha concebido la presente publicación, que contiene extractos de los libros elaborados entre 2009 y 2016 por el Proyecto Desarrollo Inclusivo, con estudios sobre dicha temática relativos al conjunto de América Latina y el Caribe, así como a los casos nacionales de la Argentina, el Brasil, Chile, el Perú y el Uruguay.
