Abstract

A través del estudio de cuatro casos reales desarrollados en América Latina, en Ia presente edición se muestra el vínculo que existe entre una evaluación coherente de los aspectos ambientales y sociales que afectan una operación o empresa y su desempeño financiero. Los casos se han desarrollado sobre Ia base teórica de la gerencia basada en el valor, por lo que el lector podrá apreciar la evidente relación entre ésta y la gerencia ambiental. La elaboración de este material es producto del esfuerzo conjunto de profesionales del Departamento de IngenierIa Industrial de Ia Universidad de los Andes de Bogotá (UNIANDES), del Centro Empresarial Colombiano para el Desarrollo Sostenible (CECODES), y de la Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF)
