Abstract

Esta investigación forma parte de Ia serie de publicaciones de Planes de reducción de riesgos elaborada en el marco del Programa Andino de Prevención y Mitigación de Riesgos (PREANDINO), financiado por Ia CAF, y que contó con Ia participación de varios actores del sector, especIficamente de Ia Subsecretarla de Agua Potable y Saneamiento, y con el valioso aporte de Ia Empresa Metropolitana de Alcantarillada y Agua Potable de Quito (EMAAP-Q). Este documento está dirigido a los técnicos de las instituciones públicas del nivel central, seccional y regional y de los organismos gubernamentales y no gubernamentales, catedráticos y estudiantes de las instituciones de educación superior. Además, constituye el resultado de una fructifera colaboración interinstitucional en beneficio del fortalecimiento de Ia gestión del riesgo en Ecuador
