Abstract

Esta segunda edición de la publicación intenta presentar temas complejos de una manera simple y didáctica, al alcance de amplios grupos de lectores. En este sentido, el Iibro tiene un doble propósito. En primer lugar, ofrece un marco conceptual sobre las microfinanzas. En este marco se destacan, el análisis de las dificultades y los retos de las transacciones en los mercados financieros no tradicionales y se enuncian las poíiticas y prácticas conducentes al éxito de las intervenciones financieras en el sector informal. En segundo lugar, el libro presenta Ia estrategia operativa de Ia Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF) para atender al sector y algunas otras consideraciones de carácter práctico
