Gobierno corporativo: lo que todo empresario debe saber

Abstract

En muchas ocasiones los empresarios se quejan de la falta de recursos de financiación y de socios para adelantar los planes de expansión de sus empresas. Lo cierto es que aún en situaciones de alta liquidez en el mercado y en presencia de proyectos e iniciativas aparentemente muy atractivos, muchos empresarios no acceden a recursos frescos. Esto se debe a que la forma en que sus empresas son manejadas y administradas (gobernadas) no genera suficiente confianza a los inversionistas. CAF, en asociación con la Bolsa Boliviana de Valores, Confecámaras, la Bolsa de Valores de Quito, Procapitales y la Asociación Venezolana de Ejecutivos, ha generando el documento Lineamientos para un Código Andino de Gobierno Corporativo que contiene una serie de medidas para mejorar las prácticas empresariales en este sentido. La presente cartilla tiene por objeto acercar este tema a un público no especialista. Pretendemos mostrar que el mismo no es académico ni complicado. Por el contrario, hace referencia a una serie de orientaciones que provienen del sentido común y de la experiencia. Con su publicación, CAF aspira a despertar el interés en la creación de una verdadera cultura de eficiencia, equidad y transparencia en el manejo empresarial
