Abstract

El deporte, comprendido como una actividad lúdica, motora y deportiva en todas sus formas, puede desarrollar un papel de gran importancia en el campo educativo y para favorecer el desarrollo, dado que sus modalidades de comunicación directa, no verbal, permiten superar las barreras presentes en cada intento de diálogo y de integración. Aprender a utilizar este instrumento para el desarrollo individual y social no requiere solo pasión, sino una competencia cada vez mayor, lo cual se convierte en un objetivo alcanzable hoy solo poniendo en red los recursos humanos y culturales. En esta perspectiva se orienta SOMOS, red del deporte de América Latina, siendo una iniciativa de CAF y Sportmeet, la red de deportistas y de personas que trabajan en el mundo del deporte. Este texto es un instrumento útil y concreto para los que deseen promover la fraternidad universal, en el deporte y a través del deporte. A partir de esta perspectiva, la metodología utilizada se basó en la teoría aplicada, base del trabajo de la institución, y tomando en cuenta los procesos de desarrollo del niño/a.
