Abstract

La composición del parque vehicular de la región se está transformando, en algunos países el número de motocicletas sobrepasa el 50% del parque automotor total y en todos los países está creciendo. Por esta razón, uno de los proyectos importantes del Plan de Acción de Seguridad Vial de CAF -banco de desarrollo de América Latina- es la seguridad de los motociclistas. La metodología que se presenta en este documento es uno de los productos de este programa, la cual fue utilizada para la elaboración del Plan de Seguridad de Motociclistas de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
