El estado de la digitalización de América Latina frente a la pandemia del COVID-19

Abstract

La pandemia del COVID-19 es inusitada en la medida de que plantea un desafi\x{0301}o al sistema socio-econo\x{0301}mico mundial. A partir de la aplicacio\x{0301}n de las primeras medidas sanitarias, sumadas al temor por el contagio, comenzaron a acumularse las evidencias anecdo\x{0301}ticas que daban cuenta de la importancia de las tecnologi\x{0301}as digitales para contrarrestar el aislamiento, difundir medidas profila\x{0301}cticas y facilitar el funcionamiento de sistemas econo\x{0301}micos. El propo\x{0301}sito de este trabajo es estimar con base en la evidencia empi\x{0301}rica la importancia de la digitalizacio\x{0301}n como factor mitigante de la disrupcio\x{0301}n de la pandemia, asi\x{0301} como evaluar co\x{0301}mo esta\x{0301} Ame\x{0301}rica Latina posicionada para enfrentar este desafi\x{0301}o.
