Abstract

La seguridad personal es tan solo una de las barreras que evitan que las mujeres aprovechen de igual manera las oportunidades que la ciudad ofrece. Por ello, es necesario comprender el problema a través de una perspectiva integral, para así lograr trabajar de manera efectiva con la promoción de la inclusión y la equidad de género en el marco de las políticas de transporte sostenible. Este informe y conjunto de herramientas, titulado Ella se mueve segura es el resultado de un estudio interdisciplinario sobre el tema de la seguridad personal de las mujeres en el transporte público en tres ciudades de América Latina: Quito (Ecuador), Buenos Aires (Argentina) y Santiago (Chile). Reúne información publicada sobre el tema y los resultados de este estudio, presentándolos en un formato modular accesible para una audiencia amplia, de manera que puedan ser aplicados y utilizados para abordar esta problemática en distintas ciudades y sistemas de transporte.
