Esquemas de implantación de tecnologías inteligentes de transporte en América Latina: estado actual y avances en el ámbito urbano

Abstract

Las autoridades de tránsito y transporte, las empresas de transporte, los políticos y tomadores de decisión, buscan implementar sistemas inteligentes de transporte (SIT) para resolver problemas que en muchas ocasiones, no están bien definidos. Son problemas en los que la solución influye en la formulación del problema, pues al conocer lo que es posible hacer, cambia la visión de lo que se quiere hacer. El objetivo del estudio es generar recomendaciones prácticas sobre tecnologías y esquemas de operación público privados de estas, que generen un buen valor agregado a las ciudades de América Latina. Asimismo, se presenta una metodología para el desarrollo de proyectos SIT basada en la elaboración de una arquitectura detallada del sistema y el uso de las siguientes herramientas de diseño: perspectivas y heurísticas identificadas a través del estudio de casos.
