Abstract

La iniciativa de una movilidad sostenible, es un proyecto financiado por la Unión Europea a través de la facilidad de inversión para América Latina (LAIF) y la Agencia Francesa de Desarrollo AFD con el apoyo y acompañamiento técnico del Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina CAF. Este proyecto busca promover un mayor conocimiento en los temas de movilidad, a través de la documentación de casos de éxito en Europa y América Latina. Los Sistemas Públicos de Bicicletas –SPB– cuentan con una gran expansión global, con una diversidad de equipos y alternativas tecnológicas. En todas las generaciones y gamas hay frecuentes mejoras e incluso, innovaciones que hacen renovar constantemente tanto el software como el hardware de los mismos. Los SPB están entrando en su fase de cuarta generación (4G), lo que muy probablemente hará que los anteriores Sistemas evolucionen, además de generar nuevas expectativas de expansión a nivel global.
