Abstract

Este resumen presenta los principales hallazgos, conclusiones y recomendaciones sobre la expansión de la conectividad sobre banda ancha en la base de la pirámide, mediante la eliminación de las barreras al despliegue de infraestructuras de banda ancha móvil (BAM) a escala nacional en América Latina y el Caribe. Se ha buscado proponer una ruta de implementación en el contexto regulatorio, normativo e institucional para reducir las barreras derivadas de normas subnacionales (provinciales, distritales o municipales) que condicionan el despliegue de infraestructura de BAM en las regiones objeto de estudio, y por ende, el impacto positivo en las tasas de crecimiento y la calidad de vida de la población en general.
