PERLOG-LATAM: Perfil logístico de América Latina

Abstract

CAF apoya a los países de la región en el desarrollo de nuevos planes, proyectos y programas orientados a intervenir en todos los elementos que componen los sistemas logísticos nacionales. En este contexto, se creó el Programa de Desarrollo Logístico Regional para América Latina (CAF-LOGRA) con el objetivo de identificar, analizar, promover, realizar y difundir proyectos y programas que contribuyan al desarrollo y desempeño competitivo de los sistemas logísticos nacionales en la región, en los ámbitos económicos, sociales, sectoriales y medioambientales. En el marco de CAF-LOGRA se elaboró el “Perfil Logístico de América Latina” (PERLOG), que aporta el análisis de la situación actual y el desarrollo potencial a futuro del Sistema Logístico Regional Latinoamericano bajo un enfoque de sistema logístico, conformado por los siguientes elementos: infraestructura, servicios, procesos, sistemas de información, capacidades de gestión, institucionalidad y regulación. En su primera etapa (2014), el PERLOG se complementa con los perfiles logísticos más detallados de ocho países de la región (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, México, Panamá, Paraguay, Perú y Uruguay). Este análisis se extenderá, posteriormente, a la totalidad de países de América Latina y el Caribe.
