Abstract

Weltweit wird über Reformen der sozialen Sicherung diskutiert. Eines der zentralen Themen dabei ist, welche Aufgaben der Staat übernehmen und was privaten Akteuren überlassen bleiben soll. Dabei geht es nicht nur um den Umfang, sondern auch um die Art staatlicher Tätigkeit, z. B. durch Finanzierung sowie eigene Leistungsbereitstellung oder durch Regulierung. Damit verbundene grundsätzliche und bereichsübergreifende sowie bereichsspezifische und aktuelle Fragen werden in diesem Band behandelt, u. a. zum Gesundheitswesen (Krankenhaussektor, Pflegeversicherung), zur Alterssicherung, Familienpolitik und betrieblichen Sozialpolitik. Dabei sind bisherige Erfahrungen wie auch Reformoptionen Gegenstand kritischer Analysen, die anläßlich mehrerer Tagungen des Ausschusses für Sozialpolitik (im Verein für Socialpolitik) vorgelegt wurden.
