Abstract

Der Ausschuß für Wirtschaftssysteme des Vereins für Socialpolitik konnte 1998 auf 30 Jahre erfolgreiche wissenschaftliche Arbeit zurückblicken. Der vorliegende Sammelband enthält alle auf seiner Potsdamer Jubiläumstagung gehaltenen Referate sowie die schriftlich vorgelegten Korreferate. Sie befassen sich zum einen mit der Darstellung und dem Vergleich alternativer systemtheoretischer Forschungsansätze und zum anderen mit deren Anwendung auf verschiedene aktuelle Problemstellungen. Dabei stehen die Traditionelle Ordnungstheorie, die Neue Institutionenökonomik und die Evolutorische Ökonomik als die gegenwärtigen Hauptströmungen systemtheoretisch relevanter Analyse im Vordergrund. Was sie zu leisten vermögen und ob sie sich vergleichsweise bewähren, wird exemplarisch für die Entwicklung und Gestaltung der monetären, sozialen und internationalen Ordnung sowie für die Transformation und den Vergleich von Wirtschaftssystemen gezeigt.
